We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Welder to a production team in Hauppauge, NY. This is a union position offering top-tier benefits, exceptional job security, and clear pathways for professional growth.

In this role, you will primarily work with aluminum using TIG and Stick welding processes, executing high-quality, precise welds to technical specifications and blueprint requirements. salary: $20 - $22 per hour shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM education: High School

Responsibilities

• Execute high-precision TIG (GTAW) and Stick (SMAW) welds on aluminum components, structures, and assemblies.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and job specifications accurately.

• Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, fitting, and cleaning aluminum surfaces to ensure maximum joint integrity.

• Perform quality checks and visual inspections on completed welds to ensure compliance with AWS or internal standards.

• Operate fabrication tools and machinery safely (grinders, saws, clamps, plasma cutters).

• Maintain equipment, perform minor routine maintenance, and keep a clean, safe workspace.

• Collaborate with supervisors, fitters, and quality control inspectors to maintain production schedules.
