Overview

The Sheet Metal Worker position at Amentum involves performing sheet metal duties at the NASA Johnson Space Center. Employees are expected to comply with safety regulations and work independently while coordinating with others.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sheet metal workmanship as assigned.
  • Use hand tools such as aviation snips and sheet metal tongs.
  • Use power tools including shears and crimpers.
  • Form and install ductwork.
  • Perform material layouts.
  • Install roof curbs, dampers, and gutters.
  • Differentiate gauges and types of metal.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain a NASA badge.
  • Must provide certified citizenship documents on the date of hire.
  • Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Texas driver's license with REAL ID.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED or 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Must pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test.
  • Must pass Asbestos physical and be able to wear a respirator as needed.
