Overview

The Plumber position at Amentum involves performing plumbing duties on-site at the NASA Johnson Space Center, ensuring quality work while adhering to safety regulations and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform plumbing tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure quality and completeness of work in a safe and timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
  • Identify and work with various pipe and fitting types.
  • Thread standard 1" NPT to code.
  • Use oxy-gas torch for various plumbing tasks.
  • Size piping for different fixtures and systems.

Requirements

  • Licensed Plumber by the State of Texas.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain required NASA badge.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Valid Texas driver's license with REAL ID.
  • Must pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test.
  • Clean, neat, and professional personal appearance.
  • Must pass Asbestos physical and be able to wear a respirator as needed.
  • Prior knowledge of NASA site and experience with government installations preferred.
