Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Brazer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in brazing 2-inch copper pipe systems for commercial and industrial applications, requiring precision workmanship and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform brazing operations on 2-inch copper pipe systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Prepare pipe ends and fittings by cleaning, deburring, and applying appropriate flux prior to brazing.
  • Select and use proper brazing alloys and filler materials suitable for copper piping systems.
  • Operate oxy-acetylene or air-acetylene torch equipment safely and proficiently to achieve proper brazing temperatures.
  • Inspect completed brazed joints visually and via pressure testing to ensure leak-free, high-quality connections.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics.
  • Follow all applicable codes including ASME, OSHA, and local building/mechanical codes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Coordinate with other trades and team members to meet project schedules.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on brazing experience with copper pipe, specifically 2-inch diameter.
  • Proficiency with oxy-acetylene and/or air-acetylene torches.
  • Strong understanding of copper pipe fitting types (elbows, tees, couplings, reducers).
  • Knowledge of proper flux application, heat control, and filler metal flow.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
