Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic I position is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and hydraulic equipment, as well as performing preventative and corrective maintenance to enhance operational uptime and equipment life. Candidates should have experience with heavy forging presses and CNC machine repairs, along with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair presses, manipulators, machine tools, saws, and other plant equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC machine repairs as required.
  • Operate in response to requests by maintenance supervisor or support personnel and set priorities to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Gather and maintain a complete set of required tools, including diagnostic and measurement devices.
  • Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve operational uptime and equipment life.
  • Follow designated work instructions for specific functions.
  • Update drawings/prints and suggest spare parts and suitable replacements.
  • Follow standard practices and all governmental regulations relating to powered equipment.
  • Document maintenance work using CMMS/E-Maint and MS Office systems.
  • Prepare and verify inventory reports on a periodic basis.
