Overview

TAIT partners with artists and brands to create innovative experiences, and Gallagher Staging provides custom staging for various events. They are seeking a Fabricator/Welder to assist in their Fabrication Warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Read design drawings and work instructions to complete projects accurately.
  • Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions.
  • Work in multiple areas including carpentry, hand grinding, and polishing.
  • Assist with assembling and building components for various sets.
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum components.
  • Examine work pieces for defects and measure them for conformance.
  • Safely operate basic shop equipment and machinery.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality of finished projects.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Basic construction skills with steel, aluminum, wood, foam, and more.
  • Proficient in using various power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in basic computer software programs; Google Suite products a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs. regularly.
  • Ability to stand for long hours and use hands and wrists continuously.
  • Ability to maintain work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the initiative to learn and be trained.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

What you'll be running

It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
