Overview

We are seeking a Spacecraft Mechanical Technician in El Segundo to fabricate, assemble, install, test, and checkout mechanical spacecraft assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test, checkout, and inspect mechanical spacecraft assemblies.
  • Operate various materials handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Travel required to support operations identified by the program being supported.
  • Capable of operating a wide range of machine tools including drill presses and grinders.
  • Perform orbital tube welding of propulsion lines.
  • Interface and work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials, Procurement, and Shipping personnel.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma
  • 1+ year of experience working with assembly, testing, and installation in an aerospace environment.

Additional Information

  • 1st and 2nd shift open.
  • Pay ranges from $22-$50/hr based on experience.
