Overview

Reworld is a leader in sustainable waste solutions, providing innovative solutions for carbon-negative outcomes. The Metal Recovery Technician will operate and maintain equipment related to waste recovery processes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and mechanically repair equipment associated with residue, ferrous, and non-ferrous systems.
  • Perform lockout and tagout procedures for ferrous and non-ferrous systems.
  • Monitor operation and maintenance of various conveyor systems and equipment.
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery.
  • Operate Front-end Loaders, Skid Steers, Man-lifts, Lull’s, and Forklifts as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • At least one year of experience in operating heavy industrial machinery or demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Military or formal technical/apprentice training is desirable.
  • Previous power plant or industrial experience is a plus.
  • Welding experience in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW is a plus.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

What you'll be running

TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
