Overview

The Precision Assembler III position involves advanced precision assembly of complex aerospace and defense components, custom products, and electromechanical assemblies. The role requires interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to perform detailed assembly tasks and provide technical guidance to less experienced assemblers.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex and custom products to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform advanced precision soldering, wiring, cable termination, and miniature component assembly.
  • Support prototype builds, First Article builds, and complex production assemblies.
  • Interpret detailed drawings to determine assembly sequence and component orientation.
  • Perform in-process self-inspection and verify completed work for quality requirements.
  • Identify assembly or quality concerns and communicate issues for resolution.
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced assemblers on established methods.
  • Complete production documentation accurately to support traceability and compliance.
  • Support continuous improvement and efforts to enhance quality and productivity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of progressive precision electronic, electromechanical, and aerospace assembly experience.
  • Demonstrated experience independently assembling complex products from engineering documentation.
  • Current IPC J-STD-001 certification required when performing governed work.
  • Experience in an AS9100 environment required.
  • Experience supporting prototype, First Article, or complex low-volume production builds required.
  • Advanced proficiency in precision assembly and soldering techniques.
  • Strong troubleshooting judgment within established assembly procedures.
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Must be authorized to access information subject to ITAR requirements.
  • Strong English communication skills; bilingual skills are a plus.
