Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and implement new procedures as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the work site and maintenance shop.
  • Adapt to changing job requirements as directed by equipment or process needs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to define problems and propose safe, cost-effective solutions.
  • Communicate repair requirements and issues clearly to plant leadership.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to obtain pricing for parts and equipment.
  • Work independently with little or no management supervision.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Strong background in electrical troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
  • General knowledge of PLC technology.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience in production and plant equipment.
  • Experience with pump troubleshooting, rebuilding, repair, and replacement.
  • Ability to apply OSHA and Henry safety standards.
  • Read and understand electrical schematics, piping, and mechanical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of steam boilers, thermal oil heaters, and industrial air compressors.
  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • A team player approach.

Additional Information

  • Hours worked: 8-12 hours per shift, varies on shift schedule and business volume.
  • Flexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required.
