Overview

TPI dba Telecom Products, Inc. is a sheet metal and machining manufacturing company based in Garland, Texas, offering American-made craftsmanship for over 25 years. The Assembly Specialist is responsible for assembling mechanical and electrical components according to work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components according to work instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to build and fit parts.
  • Perform soldering and basic wiring as needed.
  • Verify proper alignment, fit, and function of assemblies.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy and report defects or material issues.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement in assembly processes.

Requirements

  • Mechanical assembly skills, including reading basic drawings and following assembly instructions.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in fabrication and assembly.
  • Experience with soldering for electrical connections or component assembly.
  • Knowledge of quality control practices, including visual inspection and basic measurement tools.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift moderate weights throughout the shift in a manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail, strong organization skills, and a commitment to safety and accuracy.
  • Prior experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or assembly is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or mechanics is a plus.
