Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
  • Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
  • Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
  • Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated system.
  • Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintains quality standards.

Requirements

  • Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience.
  • Preferred education: Associate's Degree in Maintenance or related discipline.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Technical expertise in automation, calibration, and equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in failure analysis, mechanical troubleshooting, and production support.

Additional Information

  • This role is on-site in Mesquite, TX.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
  • This position is Safety-Sensitive.
  • No or very little travel likely.
