Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic position involves performing diverse duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment, supporting the site’s business goals. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and experience in a manufacturing setting with mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Complete all work following applicable safety requirements.
  • Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
  • Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Conduct simple preventative maintenance such as greasing and changing filters.
  • Utilize mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Work with a Computerized Maintenance Management System.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting with demonstrated mechanical skills.
  • Completion of a mechanical trades certificate or degreed program is required.
  • Experience or training in electrical maintenance is a benefit.
  • Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.

Additional Information

  • The position may require travel between two Dimex locations.
  • Use of appropriate PPE is required.
