Overview

GXO is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Weekend 1st Shift to perform diverse duties related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment. The company values a positive work environment and offers support for career development.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Chucks, 6 River mobile pick units, etc.
  • Repair and maintain a wide variety of equipment associated with the facility.
  • Maintain firm knowledge of plant layout and stay updated on company safety and environmental policies.
  • Maintain facilities infrastructure and equipment in various areas, including carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and mechanical work.
  • Perform advanced level plumbing work, including installing and repairing plumbing fixtures.
  • Assist in the implementation of new processes and equipment.
  • Process products that require testing and mechanical evaluation.
  • Complete all cosmetic repairs to restore products to sellable conditions.
  • Perform scheduled routine machine maintenance, including disassembling, cleaning, and inspecting machine systems.
  • Complete necessary preventive maintenance in a timely manner and document all maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and experience reading simple electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree, specialized vocational training, or equivalent education and experience in product maintenance.
  • Active Journeyman license.
  • 2 years of facility maintenance experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.
  • Experience with tools and equipment used in building maintenance and repair work.
  • Experience using drawings, manuals, and diagrams to coordinate and complete installations.
  • Excellent communication skills with managers, employees, and vendors.

  • Weekend 1st Shift, Friday - Sunday 6:00am - 6:00pm.
