Overview

The Freestyle Maintenance Technician II role involves providing maintenance support to plant operations, ensuring quality standards and safety codes are met. This position is ideal for individuals with maintenance experience who want to work for a leading company dedicated to sustainability and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled maintenance and repair services on facility and production plant systems.
  • Plan and conduct building repairs including outdoor lighting, doors, drywall, and ceiling tiles.
  • Install insulation and plastic coverings on product lines and piping, and perform light plumbing repairs.
  • Execute facility preventative maintenance programs as directed.
  • Plan and perform all facilities build-outs including framing, sheetrock installation, and roof repairs.
  • Complete building maintenance and troubleshooting to meet plant and departmental goals safely.
  • Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements under CCR Quality System.
  • Direct and track contractor needs and activities as directed by management.
  • Complete lift training courses and safely operate a forklift and high reach.
  • Work with facilities maintenance personnel and vendors to complete tasks and generate purchase requisitions.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track all work.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain production lines and/or batching/processing equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates or technical degree preferred.
  • Must achieve a passing score at the tech 1 level of the Maintenance Technician test.
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in manufacturing maintenance with diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.
  • Working knowledge of PLC, mechanical, electrical, lubrication, fabrication, pneumatic, and hydraulics required.
  • Must supply own hand tools.
  • Prior welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret basic blueprints and schematics required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and experience operating power industrial equipment.
  • Must understand and use Safety Data Sheet and preventive maintenance documentation.
  • Must be able to use a computer and software programs such as CMMS 'Maximo'.
  • Must be certified on the JPM for this position within six months of start date.
  • Certifications required: CARO and CIRO through RETA.
  • Must be able to work eight, ten, or twelve hour shifts as required.
