Overview

The Electrical Wireman position at Amentum requires a licensed journeyman electrician to perform electrical wiring, termination, and work with electrical drawings at the Johnson Space Center. The role emphasizes safety, quality work, and effective communication within a team or independently.

Responsibilities

  • Wire, terminate, and understand electrical drawings.
  • Complete complex critical electrical tie-ins and outages.
  • Ensure quality and completeness of work.
  • Maintain clean and neat work areas.
  • Assist supervisors in identifying and mitigating hazards.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have a Texas State Electrical License (Journeyman Card).
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED, or 5 years relevant experience.
  • Must pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test.
  • Good working knowledge of NEC codes.
  • Prior motor controls experience.
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively.
  • Must be self-motivated and willing to work from descriptions and blueprints.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Should be first-aid, CPR, and AED trained.
