Overview

OTEK Group, Inc. is a fast-growing renewable energy service provider specializing in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sub-sector of the power grid energy transition. The Field Services Engineer/Field Service Technician role involves installation, maintenance, and support of BESS systems across various locations, primarily in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain BESS / HVAC/ Inverter systems at customer sites.
  • Perform regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to schedule and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and end-users as needed.
  • Document all service activities, including maintenance tasks, repairs, and customer interactions, accurately and comprehensively.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all service activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in BESS / HVAC repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems.
  • Ability to weld (stick welding) is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 / 30 and NFPA 70e certifications must have.
  • HVAC license is preferred.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
  • STEM Associate, Bachelor's or equivalent.
  • Must have valid driver's license and work authorization in the U.S.

Additional Information

  • Projects are around Texas and other states, so technicians must be willing to travel as needed.
