Overview

The Journeyman Electrician position at Bergelectric Corp. involves installing and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and company policies. This role supports various activities across commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential locations and is classified as safety sensitive.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, maintain, and test electrical systems in support of safety and productivity initiatives.
  • Use industry-related hand tools and power tools.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wire and electrical cable systems.
  • Feed, pull into, and terminate wire and cable within control centers and other electrical components.
  • Splice and terminate wires at junction points.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems and build control panels from drawings.
  • Prepare sketches and schematic diagrams for wiring and electrical systems.
  • Delegate tasks and assist in training other employees.
  • Communicate effectively with Foremen and crew members.
  • Maintain workflow schedule to meet productivity objectives.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy in interactions.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must hold a current Journeyman Wireman license if required by local regulations.
  • Ability to install power systems including lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks.
  • Experience with Electrical Single Line blueprints.
  • Experience in finding and repairing faults in electrical apparatus and circuits.
  • Ability to verify compliance and functionality of installations.
  • Experience in project and crew management.
  • Ability to manage material estimates.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and pre-planning abilities.
