Responsibilities

  • Create and refine mechanical designs for advanced humanoid robotics.
  • Own designs from initial sketches through CAD modeling, prototyping, manufacturing, testing, and deployment.
  • Conduct simulations, structural analysis, and performance evaluations.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation, including CAD drawings and test plans.
  • Interface with external manufacturing partners to optimize designs.
  • Engage hands-on in the lab to transform designs into production systems.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teammates to ensure seamless integration.
  • Solve engineering challenges daily, pushing the boundaries of robotics technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Robotics, Biomechatronics, Mechatronics, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience designing mechanical systems in relevant fields.
  • Proven track record shipping products to market.
  • Experience designing for high-volume mass manufacturing processes.
  • Practical hands-on experience with prototyping tools and manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficient CAD user with a passion for precise design.
  • Strong grasp of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Friendly, collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Working understanding of tolerance analysis and GD&T.
  • Keen attention to detail and craftsmanship.
