Job Description
Overview
We’re hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for an HVAC ductwork installation project in Jackson, Mississippi. Local and traveling candidates are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork and related HVAC components.
- Read and follow blueprints and shop drawings.
- Install ductwork, fittings, dampers, hangers, supports, and accessories.
- Seal and insulate ductwork according to project requirements.
- Take field measurements and fabricate materials on site as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain quality installation standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial or industrial sheet metal experience
- OSHA 10 required
- Strong ductwork installation, layout, and blueprint reading skills
- Own hand tools
- Required PPE: hard hat, reflective vest, safety-toe boots, safety gloves, and safety glasses
- English-speaking or bilingual
- Dependable attendance and availability for the scheduled hours
- Employment eligibility verified through E-Verify
Additional Information
- Local mechanics: $26–$32/hour based on experience
- Schedule: Four 10-hour days and two 8-hour days—56 hours per week
- Overtime and weekend work
