Overview

SMC, Ltd. is a globally recognized premium supplier to the medical market, focused on speed, technology, and exceptional performance. The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for improving operational uptime through a preventative maintenance program.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain preventative maintenance program through ERP.
  • Repair, adjust, maintain and re-assemble machines, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot primary and secondary manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and fabricate primary and secondary manufacturing equipment including welding, cutting, assembly, painting, and finishing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair a variety of Injection Molding and Auxiliary support equipment.
  • Install and qualify equipment as necessary.
  • Document custom equipment and modifications.
  • Specify and order replacement components to maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Collaborate regularly with multiple departments.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field with relevant experience preferred.
  • Candidates with a high school diploma/GED and significant related experience, technical training, certifications, or military experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good troubleshooting skills, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and robotics.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
