Overview

Enviro-Equipment, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their production team in Pineville, NC. The company specializes in designing and building custom environmental remediation systems, requiring a versatile individual who can fabricate, fit, weld, and troubleshoot various projects.

Responsibilities

  • MIG welding and general metal fabrication
  • Cutting, fitting, grinding, drilling, and assembling steel components
  • Fabricating structural frames, equipment skids, brackets, supports, and assemblies
  • Working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials as required
  • Reading tape measures, fabrication drawings, layouts, and basic shop drawings
  • Measuring and laying out materials accurately before cutting or welding
  • Operating saws, grinders, drills, ironworkers, welders, and other fabrication equipment
  • Installing equipment and components onto fabricated systems
  • Assisting with piping, mechanical assembly, and general system construction
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Inspecting your own work and correcting problems before they move to the next stage of production
  • Working with other tradesmen to complete custom-built remediation systems

Requirements

  • Experience in a fabrication shop
  • Confident and consistent MIG welding skills
  • Ability to produce clean, strong welds
  • Capability to fit and fabricate without constant supervision
  • Accurate tape measure reading skills
  • Ability to lay out and square fabricated assemblies
  • Understanding of basic fabrication drawings and measurements
  • Safe use of common fabrication and power tools
  • Ability to recognize poor fit-up, bad welds, and fabrication problems
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a team
  • Pride in the appearance and quality of work

Additional Information

  • Most work is performed at the facility in the Pineville / Charlotte area with very limited travel.
