Job Description
Overview
Object Construction is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team of talented fabricators. The Metal Fabricator will be responsible for cutting, fitting, and assembling metal components for custom scenic elements, requiring precision and technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to blueprints and technical drawings.
- Use various cutting tools to shape metal components and ensure all cuts are clean and precise.
- Perform various welding techniques to join metal components securely.
- Maintain and care for all metal fabrication tools and equipment.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and company standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator with expertise in welding and working with metal.
- Strong knowledge of various fabrication and welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must pass a medical evaluation to wear a respirator.
- Keen attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during fabrication.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical trade school or welding certification is a plus.
