Overview

Nucor Warehouse Systems is seeking a Fabrication Operator in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves operating tube laser cutting equipment and ensuring quality and safety in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor tube laser cutting equipment under supervision
  • Read basic blueprints and work orders
  • Use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
  • Load and unload metal tubing and raw materials safely
  • Inspect parts for quality and accuracy
  • Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies
  • Perform basic machine cleaning and preventive maintenance
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and teamwork
  • Be reliable, punctual, and eager to learn new skills

Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be able to work any shift as required, including overtime, holidays, and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Experience operating CNC tube laser machines or similar manufacturing equipment preferred
  • Experience in the steel industry preferred
  • D365 experience preferred
