General Description of the Role:
The General Assembly Technician supports the cases and mounts team by performing repetitive mechanical assembly processes, operating light assembly tools, and ensuring products meet quality and accuracy standards. This role contributes directly to smooth production flow by following established procedures, maintaining equipment, and keeping the work area clean and safe. The position plays a key role in helping the company achieve its manufacturing goals by supporting efficient production, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring products are completed accurately. The role requires strong attention to detail, steady hands for medium to high dexterity tasks, and the ability to work efficiently during 10-hour shifts in a modern, collaborative production environment.

Assembly
What You’ll Do in this Role:
Assemble a variety of case and mount products by following established workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions. Build products using repetitive assembly processes while maintaining consistent quality, accuracy, and attention to detail. Assemble changing product configurations and adapt to new product designs and production requirements. Safely operate hand tools, light assembly equipment, and production machinery to complete assigned tasks efficiently. Operate and maintain auxiliary production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Quality
Verify part numbers and inspect components to ensure materials meet quality standards before and during assembly. Scan, test, and verify products throughout the assembly process using water, electrical, and vacuum pressure differential (PD) testing equipment to confirm product performance and compliance. Create and apply product labels accurately according to production requirements and specifications.
Safety
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies and production standards. Handle materials, components, and finished products safely and correctly to prevent damage and ensure product integrity. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by following standardized processes and providing feedback to improve quality, safety, and productivity.
Collaboration
Communicate quality concerns, defects, equipment issues, or process deviations promptly to the Production Team Lead or appropriate personnel. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules, support workflow efficiency, and achieve departmental goals. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Production Team Lead
Requirements
Qualifications:
1–2 years of mechanical assembler experience, such as building chassis, aerospace assembly, or medical device assembly. Ability to read and use a ruler accurately for measurement checks on in-process products. Capability to perform medium to high dexterity tasks repeatedly throughout a full shift. Strong attention to detail and commitment to following SOPs. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as required by production tasks. Effective communication skills to interact with production leadership and team members. Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and processes as the operation expands. Experience working in a structured manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
