Overview

Smurfit Westrock is a leader in sustainable packaging, dedicated to creating efficient paper and packaging solutions. The Industrial Mechanic position involves performing skilled maintenance activities to ensure operational equipment is maintained within OEM standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities including electrical, plumbing, welding, and carpentry work.
  • Conduct minor and major repairs of all buildings and equipment.
  • Maintain and repair a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment.
  • Inspect belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and grease bearings.
  • Calibrate and repair pneumatic and other mechanical systems on production equipment.
  • Complete maintenance checklists and maintain records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • Must be a team player and able to work safely and productively with others.
  • Ability to understand and complete the Pre-Task Form before work.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds with assistance.

Additional Information

  • Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer.
  • Flexibility in work hours, shifts, and responsibilities is required.
