Overview

In this position, you will perform surgical instrument inspection, repair, and refurbishment in a field-based setting. STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic level repair and maintenance of surgical instruments.
  • Provide invoicing, work orders, and daily documentation in accordance with Customer reporting and contractual/regulatory requirements.
  • Complete Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) as needed.
  • Adhere to DOT, company, and Customer protocols for the safe operation of the On Location repair truck.
  • Abide by all Company safety and health policies and complete safety observations per site requirements.
  • Provide support to various locations within assigned territory depending on service agreements and Customer needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in repair, assembly, product testing, or use of small hand tools.
  • Related certifications in technical or mechanical area may be considered towards experience requirement.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and push instrument rolling carts weighing up to 150 pounds.
  • Must be able to meet flexible schedules with early/late hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old and meet FMCSA/DOT and driver's license requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT medical/physical exam and comply with all DOT regulations.
