Overview

As a Shop Technician at G&W Equipment, Inc. in Atlanta, GA, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and material handling equipment in a controlled shop environment, focusing on high-quality repairs and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair forklifts and material handling equipment in the shop
  • Perform planned maintenance, rebuilds, and safety inspections
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
  • Prepare rental and used equipment to company and safety standards
  • Document repairs, parts usage, and labor accurately and on time
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment preferred
  • Experience working with multiple brands of forklifts preferred
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments
