Overview

Truck Fall Prevention is seeking an experienced Aluminum Welder/Fabricator to join their production team in Taylor, Michigan. The company manufactures fall prevention systems designed to protect employees working on and around flatbed trailers, and they are looking for a skilled welder who takes pride in producing clean, accurate work.

Responsibilities

  • MIG and TIG weld aluminum components used in the production of fall prevention systems.
  • Fabricate, fit, and assemble aluminum parts according to drawings, measurements, and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions.
  • Measure, cut, drill, grind, and prepare materials for welding and assembly.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and proper fit.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, saws, grinders, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform final assembly of fabricated components as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety procedures and production standards.
  • Work with the production team to meet quality and scheduling requirements.
  • Identify fabrication or quality issues and communicate them to the appropriate team member.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferred.
  • Previous aluminum welding experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong measuring and basic shop math skills.
  • Experience using common fabrication and metalworking equipment.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Welding certifications are a plus.

What you'll be running
