Overview

Intertek's Asset Integrity Management team is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector to provide asset life management support through various project phases. The ideal candidate will be certified by the American Welding Society and will perform inspections and examinations at client facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CWI visual inspections and various non-destructive examinations at a client facility or fab shop.
  • Prepare NDE reports and document data in a clear and timely manner.
  • Interface with the client on technical matters involving Certified Welding Inspection procedures.
  • Provide a professional appearance when interfacing with clients and coworkers.
  • Stay updated on new developments in Certified Welding Inspection and applicable technologies.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of inspection experience.
  • Must be capable of determining if a weldment meets the acceptance criteria of a specific code or standard.
  • Current TWIC Card is required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is preferred.
  • Ability to apply examination criteria in accordance with applicable standards and evaluate test results.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to provide clear technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractors is preferred.
  • Ability to organize and report test results and send information to the office for data processing.
  • Ability to solve technical issues in the field.
  • Follow technology advancements in CWI is preferred.
