Job Description

Overview

Niagara is seeking Team Members for their Maintenance Apprenticeship Program in Lancaster, TX, aimed at developing Maintenance Technicians through a combination of classroom and on-the-job training. The program starts in June 2027 and offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Shadow and learn from Operators, Preventative Maintenance Mechanics, Maintenance Technicians, and Sr. Maintenance Technicians.
  • Perform scheduled PM's on machinery as needed.
  • Assist with maintenance projects & machine rebuilds.
  • Assist with downed equipment repair during the production shift as needed.
  • Research and document using a computer.
  • Work safely & follow written procedures.
  • Follow & respect company rules, staff, and peers.
  • Be at work on time based on assigned schedule.
  • Attend OEM trainings and apply learnings upon returning to the plant.
  • Perform on-demand maintenance and repair of equipment in the manufacturing facility.
  • Complete daily responsibilities assigned by the direct supervisor.
  • Explain and demonstrate accomplishment of the learning objectives for each learning activity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Maintenance or similar manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Vocational Technical School Certificate in a maintenance-related field required.
  • Ability to understand and do math, geometry, and measuring using a ruler and caliper.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read blueprints & schematics.
  • Able to stand, sit, squat, or reach up to 12 hours per day.
  • Great attendance and willingness to work as a team.
