Overview

The Production Team Lead is responsible for leading a team engaged in the production of aircraft components, ensuring productivity, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manages production flow, productivity, reliability, and costs.
  • Oversees activities such as plasma, cathodic arc, and other processes on aircraft components.
  • Supports continuous improvement and all CORE initiatives.
  • Supports all EH&S initiatives.
  • May serve as supervisor in the absence of the Business Unit Manager.
  • Trains employees in their area of expertise.
  • Sets production schedules and tracks work in process.
  • Troubleshoots and solves production-related problems.
  • Schedules work duties and overtime.
  • Evaluates employee performance and addresses discipline.
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders for workers.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant work instructions.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate departmental activities.
  • Strives for turnaround time improvement and 100% on-time delivery.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Holds monthly toolbox meetings.
  • Maintains a clean and organized cell.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • More than two years of working experience with effective supervision skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables.
