Overview

Kelso Industries is seeking an experienced Process Piping General Foreman to lead field crews in the Phoenix market, focusing on advanced manufacturing and mission-critical projects. The role requires significant hands-on experience with process and high-purity piping systems, along with the ability to lead self-performing piping crews in demanding environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate process piping crews, including foremen, journeymen, welders, and apprentices.
  • Plan daily and weekly field activities to meet project schedule, production, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Supervise installation of high-purity and process piping systems utilizing stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, and poly piping.
  • Oversee orbital welding, TIG welding, fusion welding, and other specialized joining processes.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, P&IDs, isometrics, and installation requirements.
  • Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment, materials, and work sequencing with project leadership.
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure installations meet project specifications and applicable quality standards.
  • Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, Safety, QA/QC, and other trades to resolve field issues.
  • Maintain a strong field presence and reinforce expectations around safety, productivity, quality, and accountability.
  • Mentor foremen and craft employees while helping build a high-performing field team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of commercial/industrial piping experience, with demonstrated field leadership experience as a General Foreman or Foreman.
  • Significant experience with process piping and/or high-purity piping systems.
  • Working knowledge of orbital welding, TIG welding, and fusion/fuse welding.
  • Experience installing and supervising stainless steel, carbon steel, copper, and poly piping systems.
  • Experience in advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, data center, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, or similar technically demanding environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading self-perform mechanical/process piping crews strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, specifications, and field installation documents.
  • Strong understanding of field safety, quality control, manpower planning, and production.
  • Proven ability to lead crews effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
