Overview

TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturer to hire a Mechanical Engineer II. This role will support product development efforts from concept through production by leveraging advanced engineering analysis, simulation, and testing methodologies to improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

  • Support product development activities from proof of concept through production launch.
  • Develop and optimize products through fluid dynamics, structural, and manufacturability analyses.
  • Perform FEA and CFD simulations to support engineering decisions and product validation.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute product testing and validation activities.
  • Analyze test and simulation results and recommend product improvements.
  • Develop and enhance CAE processes and methodologies to improve product development efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, testing, and supplier teams to support project objectives.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on design, development, and performance optimization.
  • Document engineering analyses, validation results, and design recommendations throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing consumer or industrial products.
  • Experience applying FEA and/or CFD techniques within product development environments.
  • Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, CAESES, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working within cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
