Overview

A well-established Automotive Repair and Fabrication shop is seeking a Welder / Fabricator. Part or full-time positions are possible, with compensation higher than average depending on skill set.

Responsibilities

  • Welding and fabricating with a creative mindset for suspension and/or exhaust systems.
  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing suspension and exhaust systems on domestic and imported vehicles, light trucks, buggy/off-road vehicles, and classic cars/trucks.

Requirements

  • Ability to Mig and/or Tig weld.
  • General fabrication skills including tube bending, cutting, and grinding.
  • 2 or more years of experience is preferred.
  • Basic tool set.
  • Valid driver's license and transportation.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
