Overview

OxyChem is a leading producer of essential chemistry, committed to innovation and safety. The Millwright position involves maintaining equipment and ensuring the health and safety of employees and the environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain protection of the environment and health and safety of employees and communities.
  • Monitor condition of rotating machinery using parameters like vibration and temperature.
  • Assess daily operation of equipment and provide reliability improvement recommendations.
  • Maintain equipment to design specifications and replace seals and align rotating equipment.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and troubleshoot problems.
  • Familiarity with SAP, RMP, and warehouse parts management.
  • Fabricate, assemble, disassemble, and repair vessels and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years mechanical experience in millwright activities in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to read process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
  • Valid NCCER certification required.
  • Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders, and wear personal protective equipment.
