Responsibilities

• Perform torch brazing operations on a variety of base materials using approved filler metals and procedures.
• Set up workpieces and fixtures, and prepare joint surfaces.
• Select appropriate filler alloys and operate torch equipment according to process specifications.
• Inspect brazed assemblies for quality and perform basic measurements.
• Document work performed to support traceability and compliance.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot brazing issues.
• Maintain equipment and work areas, supporting continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Technical brazing skills, including experience with torch brazing processes and joint preparation.
• Basic metallurgy and materials knowledge, particularly with steels, aluminum, and super alloys.
• Precision fabrication capabilities, including reading and interpreting drawings and using measuring tools.
• Safety and quality focus, adhering to shop safety practices and quality procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on manufacturing experience in heat treating, brazing, welding, or related environments.
• Ability to work on-site, handle moderate lifting, and operate in a fast-paced production setting.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
