Overview

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. They are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Understand all safety rules and precautions for working with hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical apparatus.
  • Perform 60% mechanical work and 40% electrical work.
  • Work on highly technical projects and solve complex problems.
  • Install and repair a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, and motors.
  • Use welding equipment and perform welding tasks.
  • Diagnose and correct issues in electrical systems or equipment.
  • Conduct visual and mechanical inspections to maintain machinery.
  • Follow the preventive maintenance program and perform necessary inspections.
  • Maintain buildings and perform repairs.
  • Notify management about major repair needs.
  • Provide on-the-job direction to new maintenance mechanics.
  • Maintain continuous improvement efforts in the work area.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician in an industrial manufacturing facility.
  • Demonstrated commitment to electrical safety and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with pneumatic and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of medium voltage troubleshooting and repair (480 VAC, 750VDC).
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E, NEC, and applicable OSHA standards.
  • Experience with transformers maintenance and testing.
  • Knowledge of three-phase motors, DC motors, and motor controls.
  • Experience with servo motors and controls.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI's).
  • Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's) and communication protocols.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously.
