Overview

Unique Mechanical Services is seeking dedicated and skilled candidates to join our team as Laborer Welding Assistants. The ideal candidate will assist experienced welders in various tasks related to welding and fabrication in the food and beverage industry throughout New England.

Responsibilities

  • Assist welders in preparing materials for welding, including cutting and fitting components.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Support the welding process by holding materials in place and ensuring proper alignment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Help with rigging tasks when necessary to position heavy materials for welding.
  • Follow instructions from lead welders and contribute to team efforts on location.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a welding or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and safety practices related to welding operations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
