Overview

The 2nd Shift Welder 2 position involves joining metal parts using high heat application to form permanent bonds, requiring at least 1 year of welding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials
  • Planning work by interpreting blueprints
  • Determining welding position and type of metal to be fused
  • Selecting and setting up welding equipment
  • Ensuring welds meet standards and specifications
  • Complying with all requirements of Daifuku's QMS policies and procedures
  • Ensuring sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certificate or Associate degree in welding
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in welding
  • AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Team orientation
  • Crane operation experience preferred, but not required
  • Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
