We are searching for a full time, direct hire Fitter Fabricator in Uniontown, PA to fit and assemble steel components to specifications

Job Description:

Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings

Lay out, fit, and assemble structural and miscellaneous steel components

Measure, mark, cut, drill, grind, and prepare steel for fabrication

Fit components accurately according to drawings and specifications

Perform welding as required

Responsibilities:

  • Fit and Fabricate custom parts out of steel, aluminum and stainlessEducation: No formal education required.

Experience: 60 months

  • Previous professional steel fabrication/fitting experience required Skills:
  • Strong ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and blueprints
  • Proficient with tape measures and fabrication/layout tools
  • Knowledge of structural steel components and fabrication practices Experience using grinders, saws, drills, torches, and other fabrication equipmen
  • Welding experience required
  • Ability to perform accurate layout and fit-up without constant supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
