Overview

Harsco is a leader in railway track maintenance, providing equipment and services to enhance safety and efficiency for various railway operators. The Welder position involves metal fabrication and assembly of structural metal products, requiring technical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, tack weld, and straighten fabrications to blueprint specifications using jigs and fixtures.
• Lay out, fit, tack weld, pressure test, and repair piping systems and pressured vessels as assigned.
• Use hand torches for free hand burning, simple heat-treating, and gas welding.
• Improve jigs and fixtures for assembling and welding parts for production.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe working habits at all times.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Technical School education.
• 1 - 3 years of welding experience.
• Core competencies include safety focus, quality attention to detail, teamwork, accountability, communication, problem solving, and adaptability.

Additional Information

• Work is performed in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment with exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to X lbs.
• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
• Work schedule and shift assignment may vary based on operational needs, including potential overtime, weekend, and holiday work.
