How this job compares in Tolleson, AZ

Pay in context

At roughly $36/hr, this posting sits about 30% above the $28/hr median for welding jobs across Arizona — toward the top of a $24–$35/hr middle band drawn from 159 postings with published pay. Put another way, it pays more than about 77% of the comparable postings we have wage data for. Pay that far above local median usually comes attached to something: a harder cert requirement, travel, night shift, or overtime that isn't really optional. Worth establishing which before you accept.

The local market in Tolleson, AZ

We're tracking 12 other active welding openings in Tolleson, AZ right now, from 8 different employers. None of them were added in the last week, so this is a slower-moving market. Across Arizona as a whole we're tracking 394 other active welding openings from 180 employers. A metro this active generally means you have real leverage — employers here are competing for the same welders. Browse every welding job in Tolleson, or widen the search to Arizona.

The most active employers in Arizona at the moment, by number of open welding reqs, are Sundt Construction (29), Welding Shop in Phoenix, AZ (22), and EZARC (16). Volume like that usually means either a genuine expansion or a staffing agency working several client sites — worth knowing which before you apply.

Within Arizona, the best-paying metros we track by median hourly rate are Tempe at $32/hr, Phoenix at $30/hr, and Mesa at $28/hr. If you can relocate or commute, that spread is worth factoring in.
