Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform various tasks in the Metal department under supervision.
  • Use hand sanders, hand grinders, and drill press.
  • Perform press brake forming using Accurpress.
  • Report discrepancies in work orders and HR software to the Metal supervisor.
  • Weld using MIG and TIG techniques.

Requirements

  • Experience in metal fabrication in commercial construction.
  • Ability to learn and perform tasks with supervision.
  • Capable of using hand tools and machinery.
  • Welding skills in MIG and TIG.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
