Job Description
Overview
Service Fabricators, LLC is seeking a dependable and motivated Press Brake Helper to join our fabrication team in Mamou, Louisiana. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone who is willing to learn and takes pride in doing quality work.
Responsibilities
- Assist the press brake operator with bending and forming metal components according to job specifications.
- Help load, position, support, and unload metal plates and parts during fabrication.
- Assist with measuring, handling, and organizing materials.
- Follow instructions from the press brake operator and other shop personnel.
- Verify parts and measurements as directed to help maintain quality and accuracy.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of unnecessary hazards.
- Follow all shop safety procedures when working around machinery and handling metal.
Requirements
- No previous press brake, fabrication, or manufacturing experience required.
- Must be able to read and accurately use a tape measure.
- Willingness and ability to learn how to assist with press brake operations.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn proper measuring and material-handling techniques.
- Ability to work safely in a fabrication shop environment.
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including standing for extended periods and handling materials with appropriate equipment and assistance.
