Overview

The PIPEFITTER SUPERVISOR I position is located in the TEMPORARY SERVICES SHOP within the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT at PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. The role involves supervising various tasks related to pipefitting and hazardous waste management.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with other shops on equipment needs and technical problems.
  • Supervise the handling, consolidation, marking, and packaging of hazardous waste at accumulation areas in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist in on-the-job training and supplement programs through observations or employee recommendations.
  • Fully support the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and procedures.
