Overview

MISTRAS Group has an immediate need for Rope Access Boilermaker/Mechanical Technicians for project based work to start as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Perform heavy industrial metal-working and fabrication.
  • Install, repair, and assemble boiler casings, pressure vessels, storage tanks, grades, handrails, etc.
  • Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and metal fabrication as required.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine material requirements.
  • Provide exemplary customer service and support that reflects integrity, collaboration, and timely follow-through.
  • Work effectively within a team structure to complete operational and administrative assignments on time, with good quality.
  • Reflect an intense focus on safety, health and risk management concerns in accordance with MISTRAS safety procedures.
  • Adhere to the scope and technique standards based on level of certification.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Industrial rope access certification level I, II, or III.
  • High school graduate or GED; relevant advanced certifications are an asset.
  • One year insulation experience or valid recognized credential.
  • Experience or willingness to be trained or perform other mechanical services as business needs arise.
  • Meets the Company’s first-aid, CPR, and AED certification requirements at time of hire or within 60 days thereafter.
  • Ability to travel by any means without geographical limitations.

  • Majority of work will be call out.
  • Capable of carrying out strenuous, repetitive, or tedious work often in adverse conditions.
