Overview

Nordic Solutions is seeking Precision Orbital TIG Welders for high-spec tube and pipe work across the United States. The role involves operating TIG systems, ensuring code-compliant welds, and maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and optimize orbital TIG (GTAW) systems for high-spec tube and pipe work
  • Execute consistent, code-compliant welds and verify quality at every step
  • Read and apply blueprints, weld symbols, WPSs, and engineering notes
  • Inspect, measure, and document results; adjust parameters to stay in tolerance
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues swiftly to minimize downtime
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization on every site
  • Adapt to different shops, procedures, and production environments

Requirements

  • 5+ years of verifiable welding experience with strong orbital GTAW proficiency
  • Track record of precision orbital TIG welding on tube/pipe assemblies
  • Solid command of TIG theory, parameter control, and heat management
  • Fluency with drawings, symbols, and welding specifications
  • Experience with stainless and carbon steel; specialty alloys preferred
  • Detail-driven mindset and ownership of weld quality
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot process and equipment
  • Experience with visual and dimensional weld inspection
  • Comfort working solo in new manufacturing environments
  • Open to nights, weekends, and overtime as projects demand
  • Nationwide travel capability
  • Proficiency in aerospace manufacturing environments is beneficial
