The Maintenance Mechanic role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures; reinforce with peers.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Operate and maintain forklifts/highboys; complete required training.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for repairs, purchases, and inventory.
  • Schedule and track maintenance using CMMS to reduce downtime.
  • Research and recommend standardized equipment to optimize spare parts.
  • Train and mentor maintenance team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and interpret schematics.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and plant safety procedures.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Technical certification in mechanical or electrical systems (preferred).
  • Experience with CMMS software (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills (preferred).
  • Forklift certification (preferred).
