Overview

Pregis is a company in the packaging business focused on protecting what matters through sustainable growth and innovation. They are seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance work on various equipment and support the plant's operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance work on converting, printing, and extruding equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic systems and control circuits.
• Solve mechanical problems and repair or replace faulty components.
• Install new machines and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain parts and supplies inventories.
• Conduct reactionary maintenance when machines or equipment go down.
• Plan and carry out tasks associated with special projects.
• Source products and materials for maintenance purchases.
• Accountable for parts inventories.
• Perform tool & die and fixture jobs.
• Collaborate with team members to solve collective problems.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience in a machine repair and maintenance department or a technically oriented position.
• Welding and fabricating skills.
• Machining experience with lathes and mills.
• Understanding of machine control systems and electrical schematics.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to use office software and enter work orders in CMMS software.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Additional Information

• Full-time position.
• Shift work from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on a 2,2,3 rotating schedule.
• Overtime expected based on business demand.
